This pivotal merger in 2004 combined over two centuries of collective experience, expertise and innovation, creating a powerhouse in the global energy storage industry.

Yuasa`s story began in 1913 when Shichizaemon Yuasa began research into metal electrolysis. In 1918 he established Yuasa Storage Battery Co., Ltd., laying the groundwork for battery manufacturing in Japan. Yuasa was instrumental in developing Japan's first storage batteries, setting a precedent for innovation and quality.
